Ingredients

10 ounces uncooked pizza dough homemade or store-bought
8 ounces pizza sauce jarred or homemade
3 ounces sliced pepperoni
16 ounces mozzarella cheese
Basil optional
Grated Parmesan cheese
Ranch dressing
Crushed red pepper flakes
Extra pizza sauce

Instructions

If using frozen dough, completely thaw it while tightly wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent excessive rising.
Lightly oil a paper towel and wipe the bottom and sides of the cast iron skillet. Shape the pizza dough into a smooth ball and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
Position the dough ball in the center of the skillet. Loosely cover the skillet with plastic wrap and place it in a warm area, allowing the dough to rise until it reaches the skillet's edges.
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Gently press the dough down with your fingertips, spreading it to the edges of the pan.
Cut half of the mozzarella into ¾-inch cubes and distribute them evenly around the skillet's edge, leaving some space between each cube. Grate the remaining mozzarella.
Spoon pizza sauce over the crust, adjusting the amount to your preference.
Sprinkle the grated mozzarella over the sauce to your liking.
Top with pepperoni slices.
Bake the pizza for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it puffs up and turns golden brown.
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and run a knife around the edge to loosen the crust from the skillet. Slice and serve with your favorite toppings, such as ranch dressing, fresh basil, grated Parmesan, crushed red pepper flakes, or extra sauce.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amounts of pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese according to your taste. Avoid overloading on grated cheese, as the pizza will rise in the center, potentially causing the pepperoni to slide off.

If large bubbles form during baking, use a skewer or knife tip to pierce them.

If you prefer not to use pepperoni, feel free to omit it or replace it with your favorite toppings.

For leftover slices, reheat them in the oven on foil for best results.
