Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • ⅓ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel and cube sweet potatoes. Boil until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Drain and mash sweet potatoes.
  • Mix mashed potatoes with sugar, milk, egg, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
  • Spread mixture in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and hazelnuts for topping.
  • Sprinkle topping evenly over sweet potato mixture.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until topping is crispy.
  • Serve hot.
